CURATION: This piece was inspired by the movement of the ocean underneath the waves. When I was little at The Pass and I could spend what felt like eternity under the waves as the tide washed over my head, I could see the sand move methodically and smoothly in between the sets.
There is a sense of calm to this piece with rolling long board waves that take The Pass headland and unload you in a safe bundle towards Clarkes. And of course the ‘used to be’ uncrowded wander back up the shoreline to do it all over again.
I hope you feel a sense of calm and quiet when you see this piece.
